Island Visions Gallery features dichroic glass artist Beth Collette, who is known primarily for her glass “bonefish” and dragonfly pendants. 1 – 5 pm. Also featured is “Miracles in Action”, a non-profit from Guatemala, from 1 – 7. David will have a large assortment of beaded art work by the Mayan women. Matlacha

Pine Island Airport is now offering by appointment, Tandem Skydiving on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the season. There is a big discount to book online. They can go to www.PineIslandAirport.com and find “Skydive Pine Island” on the website.

Our Snook Cowboy Fishing Club is also based out of Pine Island and Snook Cowboy offers fishing adventures all around Pine Island. Annual Community Yard Sale in Matlacha, starting at 8 am.
11th Annual Breast Fest Walk & Fund Raiser, at Phillips Park, Pine Island Center. Registration starts 8:30; walks begin at 9:30. Local food vendors, craft vendors, 50/50s, live music by island bands from 12 noon – 6 pm. Proceeds provide breast cancer screening & treatment for eligible residents of the Greater Pine Island area. American Legion Post 136 Riders host Steak Fry starting at 2 pm. The Last Resort Band plays from 4 – 7. St. James City.

St. James City Civic Association will hold their 49th anniversary Pig Roast from noon until 6 pm. Pulled pork sandwiches “with all the fixings”, as well as lawn games and a 50/50 raffle. Music will be by the St. James Creek Band and Burnt Out Band. Lemon St & 4th Avenue, St. James City
